SEO vs. AI: Why the “SEO is Dead” Hype is a Complete Myth

We have to be real here. These days, when you scroll across Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube, you come across these videos. These videos are extremely catchy, with clickbait thumbnails telling you “SEO is DEAD” or “AI has killed SEO.” You know these people who put these over-the-top thumbnails and extremely urgent messages. These are the classic clickbait strategies, that is, trying to tell you that everything you’ve learned about SEO is just “DEAD” and digital marketing is done or “OBSOLETE.” Let’s Sprinkle Some Facts. Here are some of the facts: SEO is not dead because of AI. Actually, SEO has become even more important. If not, AI has made great SEO practices even more critical. Let me explain why these “SEO is dead” videos are actually just some kind of thin air facts. Massive Misunderstanding: AI Doesn’t Replace Search—It Relies on It We heard this term, “Data is the new oil.” Well, that’s what SEO is: “Data.” Without that data, AI can’t do anything. We all drive cars, and we need fuel or electricity (in the case of EVs) to drive them. SEO is the fuel that drives the car of AI.  Now let me clear up this misunderstanding, or rather, I will call it “misinformation,” that is, “SEO is DEAD” videos are watched like there’s no tomorrow. All these AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, CoPilot, Claude, Grok, and Llama don’t get content from thin air. They just don’t magically operate out of nothing. They get their information from the web, as in the same traditional search engines like Google or Bing do.  When your favorite AI tool is providing that answer to you, they are pulling that answer from those websites that actually rank high on Google, Bing, etc. When the AI Mode of Google or Google Overviews shows up with some answers, these are all summarizing content from the websites that have great SEO fundamentals. AI is not replacing search engines—it’s actually built on top of that. The New Door Think in this way: AI is just a brand new door for the internet, but SEO is where everything is decided and what rooms people can go into. Without having SEO, your content is just not invited to this party—whether it’s for Google Search or responses from CoPilot or ChatGPT. Why SEO Principles Are More Important Than Ever Let’s break down why SEO is actually going up in this era: 1. Authority Still Rules  Let’s go back to those “SEO is Dead” videos. They ignore that all the AI models generally prioritize content that is authorized. ChatGPT is not just coming up with results—it works based on reputable websites. The AI overviews of Google pull from those top-ranking pages. The domain authority along with the backlink profile and the brand mentions are more than just obsolete—they are actually more valuable than ever. In fact, AI models can directly use exact signals for determining what type of content to trust. If your website has great SEO fundamentals, the AI tools put your content at the top. If you don’t do SEO, you’re invisible to both humans and now AI also. 2. Content Quality Matters More Than Ever AI is not a magical content generator that makes the quality of the back thing irrelevant. It’s the complete opposite—the models that AI tools are trained for high-quality content. They learn precisely what constitutes high-quality content that is recognized by AI. They learn what exactly looks good on websites. The exact E-E-A-T framework (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) that was emphasized by Google. This is specifically important for getting AI to cite your content. If you have a thin type of content, or your content is not well researched or written in a poor manner, or does not have any type of expertise, or just lacks expertise, AI models will not cite that. This is just like how the search engines show content. 3. Semantic SEO is the New Black  Remember the thing called “keyword stuffing”? Yeah, that died years ago. What replaced semantic SEO was the right practice of creating content that covers that topic rather than targeting the isolated keywords. This is where AI & SEO can directly align. AI models directly understand different contexts much better than before. Content that works based on semantic SEO principles (covering related topics, establishing entity relationships, and using up natural language) performs much better for both traditional and AI-driven results. 4. Structured Data Is Your Secret Weapon One of the most effective techniques for optimizing search engines in the AI era? Structured data (schema markup). If you use FAQ schema or How To schema or Content schema, you’re essentially providing AI models a road map to the content you provide. This is why websites that have sufficient schema markup show more frequently in Google’s AI Overviews or ChatGPT or CoPilot responses—they keep it simple for AI to access and collect their content. SEO is not dead, but the reality is, it has come to use a form of artificial intelligence. Why “SEO is dead” is everywhere So, what exactly do these videos want? Simply saying, these are for “clicks.” These videos are actually going after the marketers along with insecurities and fears. These people are promising some new kind of approach—as these videos create great engagement.  In reality, these videos are created by some individuals or entities or groups that generally do not understand the process of SEO or, worse, even AI as well. They see this huge buzz around the AI and AI tools and jump to conclusions. These entities do not take into account how SEO or even AI actually works. The Truth: Clearly, once again, AI has NOT killed SEO—it has made bad SEO disappear. What are the different types of shortcuts that work for the early days of SEO? These types of SEO tactics are dead. But for the content quality along with the technical optimization along with genuine audience values. These are actually more important than ever. How to Spot These

SEO vs. SEM: What’s the Difference and Which One Is Right for You?

Imagine two business owners, both starting an e-commerce website, trying to appear in the first position on Google. One spends hours writing blog posts and optimizing their site – a classic SEO approach – while the other spends a budget on Google Ads to get instant visibility. Both want more eyes on their business, but they’re playing different games. Who will get the most eyeballs? The answer is not that simple. We will have to factor in multiple elements of digital marketing, including keywords, website optimization, bidding, ad strategy, etc. Therefore, in this blog, we will compare SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing), side by side, and help you decide when to use each strategy. Whether you’re a business owner, marketing professional, blogger, or an entrepreneur investing in online visibility, understanding “SEO vs SEM” and understanding the difference between SEO and SEM is crucial for your digital marketing strategy. What Is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) SEO is all about getting organic traffic to your website or blog without paying for clicks. Simply put, SEO involves optimizing your website to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs). In practice, that means making your site relevant and authoritative for the queries your customers use. However, not only user queries, but you will have to focus on website optimization, including on-page/off-page optimization, technical SEO, etc., to make your website or blog ready to rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). Now, let’s unfold each aspect of SEO to better understand how to rank on search results. Keyword Research Keyword research helps you understand what your users are searching for related to your products or services. For example, if you are selling ‘customized jeans for men’, then your users may search terms like ‘customized jeans’, ‘jeans for men’, ‘jeans under 1000 for men’, etc. Therefore, it’s always better to know what your users might be searching as it makes it easier for you to work on those keywords and try to rank them on SERPs to earn organic traffic. To conduct this keyword research, there are multiple keyword research tools available – free and paid – that you can use to start with.To start your keyword research, just enter a basic term related to your business or website. For example, if you provide digital marketing services to emerging startups in Mumbai, then you may want to enter the keywords ‘digital marketing services in Mumbai’ or ‘digital marketing agencies in Mumbai’, or ‘Best digital marketing consultant in Mumbai’. Then you need to look for: Monthly search volume (how many times users are searching for this particular keyword in a month) Keyword difficulty (how hard it is for you to rank for this particular keyword on SERPs) Search intent (what users want to do by searching this keyword) These data points will further help you decide whether you want to work on that particular keyword to rank or not. On‑Page and Off‑Page SEO On‑Page SEO covers all optimizations you make on your website. The following are some of the activities you need to do for on-page optimization. H1/Title tag: Use your primary keyword in title tag. Headers: H2 to H6 headings helps you organize your content and structure it properly. Readability: Use tables, bullet points, and clear headings. Image Optimization: Use alt tags and file names properly. Off‑Page SEO refers to efforts outside your site that build authority: Brand mentions: Create high-quality content consistently to earn backlinks from other high DA websites and brand mentions organically. You can also purchase backlinks. Local listings: Use local directories and forums to mention your brand and website. Reviews: Collect genuine customer reviews and respond to them properly to create a positive dialogue. Social media: Use social media platforms to build a genuine presence and share original content. Technical SEO Technical SEO ensures search engines can crawl, index, and render your pages smoothly. The following are some of the key tasks for technical SEO. Improving page load speed (minify CSS/JS, use a CDN). Implementing HTTPS for security. Creating an XML sitemap and a clean URL structure. Fixing broken links and proper redirect rules. Ensuring a mobile‑friendly, responsive design. Importance of Content and Backlinking Google has recently rolled out the March 2025 core update, which aims to improve the quality and relevance of search results. This means Google, being the dominant player in the search engine market share, Google is focusing more on content quality and its relevance to the users’ intent. On the other hand, backlinks – your website’s link on other authoritative websites on the internet – remain one of the strongest ranking factors: each high‑authority link acts like a “vote” for your content’s relevance. Tools Used For SEO The following three SEO tools are the utmost requirements for SEO experts to conduct daily tasks of ranking any website on SERPs. GA4: Learn more about your website’s key metrics like CTA, CPC, etc. Google Search Console: spot indexing errors and view actual search queries. Ahrefs / SEMrush: in‑depth keyword research, backlink audits, and competitor analysis. PageSpeed Insights / GTmetrix: identify performance bottlenecks for technical fixes. Investing in SEO means up‑front content creation and optimization work, but once pages rank, you earn “free” traffic indefinitely. Over time, organic visitors trust your brand more than paid ads, improving both click‑through and conversion rates, making SEO one of the most cost‑effective channels in the long run. What Is SEM? (Search Engine Marketing) SEM (often used interchangeably with “paid search”) involves paying for ad placement in search engine results. You bid on keywords; if your bid (and ad quality) ranks high enough, your ad appears above or beside the organic listings. Let’s decode the PPC model and try to understand each aspect of SEM in detail.Decoding the PPC Model 1. Keyword Research An SEM campaign always begins with proper keyword research, Just like it does in SEO. Firstly, you need to identify the exact search terms or keywords your target audience use when they search for your website or related products/services.

Track SEO KPI

How to track SEO KPI from different SEO Tools

How to track SEO KPI from different SEO Tools Before selecting the right tools, empower yourself by understanding your KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Your project’s nature determines your KPIs. For a news-related project, your focus is traffic, clicks, impressions, and CTR. In the D2C industry, tracking sales data and relevant traffic is key; for B2B and B2C, you prefer event tracking, like conversion and time spent on a website. Once you’ve identified your KPIs, you’re ready to select your tools, feeling confident in your choices. Discover the top 5 tools that the industry community prefers for understanding and judging KPIs. 1. Google Search Console is a highly recommended SEO tool for understanding your website’s SEO performance. It provides valuable insights into your page’s performance on Google, including clicks, impressions, average position, and CTR. It gives you complete progress on your project, and you can compare your past performance with your existing performance. You must start tracking your SEO performance from Day 1 via the Google search console. 2. Ahrefs: Ahrefs is one of my favourite tools due to its easy interface and clarity. It allows you to track rank via keyword rank tracker, giving you a website health audit by adequately scoring. You can regularly track multiple projects by linking your email ID with your Ahrefs account. As a digital marketing agency, we use the Ahrefs plan to check our website performance, and it regularly gives us robust analysis. The primary things we track via Ahrefs are Ranking, competitor analysis, traffic analysis, indexing status, tracking your backlink progress ( although it is not a primary KPI, we still track to see how our website is performing ), Domain rating and URL rating it gives you. Once you get this much information, it becomes very easy to understand the areas you lack in SEO and take steps accordingly. 3. Semrush is an indispensable tool for tracking your ongoing SEO growth. It offers a comprehensive view of all the relevant KPIs, including keyword ranking, Keyword ranking position and its movement, backlink numbers (both your website’s and your competitors’), and page performance and improvement. You can track your competitors’ organic traffic and plan your new pages according to their organic traffic performance. Finding lost backlinks helps you gain back; Semrush gives you data on your lost backlinks. 4. Google Analytics 4: Most tools won’t provide conversion tracking; Google Analytics event tracker helps you understand your actual number of conversions, website visits, or any specific event tracking that helps you grow better. 5. Screaming Frog: Screaming Frog’s primary focus is to provide an in-depth technical analysis of your project. Technical SEO is one key area that helps maintain a website’s overall health. The tools mentioned above are essential SEO tools for primarily tracking your SEO performance, your signups, your conversions and the overall growth of the project. All the data must be tracked in proper Google Docs and sheets so that all the corrections can be done and regular progress can be tracked in your projects. As an SEO agency, we understand the challenges in your SEO projects and closely work with you on all the parameters of SEO that help your website progress. Over the last 12 years of being an SEO agency, we have seen a market shift and changes in KPIs in your market. Although essentials remain the same, your data preference constantly changes with market changes. We help you understand your preferences.

Strategy to rank globally in D2C Space ( Local success to Global Success )

In 2023, we started working on a hair extension brand that performed well on Google and other search engines. However, significant traffic and sales were only coming from India; we were expecting around 6-7 lakh of sales from SEO traffic ( Organic traffic from search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, and others ). However, we were only getting 3-4 lakh of sales from Google search, Google shopping (organic Google as a source), and other search engines. We have given it deep thought and started working on a new domain with a .com extension and optimization from a Global market perspective. Our existing domain is very much optimized from an Indian market perspective; this was one of the reasons the global market did not accept it. So, we started working on a new domain with internal targeting in our strategy. How did we do optimization? It was a challenging journey, but we started seeing a good impact after regular optimization of the .com website. In just 6 months, we have started noticing a good trend, and we have achieved the following results: The entire growth was driven organically. Technical SEO and proper on-page and link-building practices played a significant role in keeping international audiences in mind. The growth of the D2C brand in the hair extension segment has taught us much about the D2C Space, and our strategy has generated decent responses. Things that worked for us in D2C SEO : If you want to explore SEO of D2C Space, our team can discuss things in detail and share detail strategies.

Technical SEO makes sure your website is well-built and easy for search engines like Google to understand. It involves fixing any technical problems on your site, like broken links or slow loading times, so that search engines can find your site easily and show it to people who are looking for what you offer.Basically, it helps your website get more visibility and visitors from search engines, which is important for the success of your online business or presence as well as provide a better ranking. It helps you get crawled and indexed by the search engines so that your site is ranked and gains more traffic. Further, it enhances user experience by increasing the loading speed and simplifying the navigation. There are many more additional benefits of tech SEO like optimization, improved visibility, etc. Together with content optimization on-page SEO and linking optimization, it makes the page easily locatable by search engines thereby increasing your site rank. SEO Audit and technical SEO audit help find errors and corrections so that there is no hindrance in the ranking of the site. While an SEO audit focuses on the evaluation of the factors that oversee how well the optimization of the site is for search engines, a technical SEO audit focuses on the technical aspects of the site that are connected to the SEO of the site. It finds the errors and corrects them making the site user-friendly, and approachable. As an SEO expert, I often notice that people sometimes overlook Technical SEO and solely concentrate on basic SEO. Later, they express frustration when their site doesn’t rank well. how seo helped me to gain organic traffic

Case Studies: How SEO helped me in just 1 month to grow my organic traffic

To increase internet traffic, many businesses rely on sponsored promotions and marketing campaigns. However, they frequently overlook the significance of SEO in driving website visitors. If you can increase your organic traffic, you will benefit in the long term. Why? Because you will no longer be reliant on referral traffic and paid advertisements to attract people to your website. We will guide you through the SEO approach for one of our clients, a fashion designing institute, in this case study. The customer approached us in March 2023 with the goal of increasing organic traffic and ranking for the most significant keywords in their company category. They were expecting to go on a consistent rising slope after having inconsistent results with attempting to work on the website’s SEO on their own. This was the beginning point – organic traffic to the fashion designing institute from March 2023 to April 2023. Check out these 10 case studies on using blogging to increase organic traffic: What was the Objective? I wanted to boost organic traffic to my website and rank high for more competitive keywords in my sector. I had a few thousand organic visitors every year. But I wanted to increase this figure and gain more organic traffic to help me compete with the industry’s top players. • Keyword Competition I work in the digital marketing field, which is highly competitive because I must compete with SEO professionals. I was a relative newcomer to the business at the time, competing against industry heavyweights. The digital marketing industry’s popularity is growing, and so is the competition. We were all vying for prominent keywords such as “digital marketing consultant,” “influencer consultant,” “celebrity consultant,” and so on. My website was ranking lower in organic search results for these and other keywords due to intense competition and inadequate backlinks. • Fewer Website Visits In February, the website’s total organic traffic was little under 10,000 visits. I used to get a very low amount of website visits from search results due to my lower site position in organic searches. • Poor Backlinks My website’s domain authority was also poor because I hadn’t yet obtained enough backlinks from reputable industry sites. Although there were some lesser referring domains, I was not receiving high-quality backlinks from websites with high domain authority. What I did to Rank the Website? • Technical SEO Audit Our collaboration with a fashion design institute began in March 2023. Our typical technical evaluation approach involves assessing how fast the website’s pages load, if it indexes well, if the URLs are in good condition, if all pictures load, and if it checks other technical needs boxes. To begin ascending to the top of Google search results, all technical factors must be in order. Overall, we were off to a fantastic start, and the client’s website was already up and running. A few of enhancements were made to the to-do list: Fixing URL redirects and broken links, sending visitors to webpages that no longer exist:They not only degrade the user experience, but they can also have a detrimental influence on how search engines evaluate the page. The more broken URLs there are, the more red flags Search Engines notice. Updates on the sitemap:The sitemap informs search engines about the structure of the website, allowing them to find new pages more quickly and easily. Some of the components on the sitemap were either obsolete or wrong, so we collaborated with the AP Web World team to resolve the issue. • Keyword research Every excellent content strategy must begin with keyword research. After all, everything you write about should be of interest to your target audience. Knowing what your consumers are interested in may be easier if you have firsthand knowledge of the sector. It does not, however, always translate into pageviews on your website. Keyword research allows you to narrow down the particular terms that people are putting into Google, examine the estimated search volume, and determine how simple or difficult it would be to outrank the existing websites in the top positions of SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). The major target market for the customer is a fashion institute. Keeping that in mind, and with the assistance of the sophisticated SEO tool….. (TOOL NAME) we were able to discover the primary keywords to target:: Fashion designing degree course Fashion designing course Fashion business management course Fashion designing degree course Fashion business management Fashion designer course Fashion designing institute Online fashion designing course Fashion designing institute Makeup institute Makeup artistry course Professional makeup course Modelling institute Modeling course in Delhi Fashion styling courses Makeup institute Most crucial, the folks searching for these keywords are ones that want to see what they have on their website. • Content creation After identifying the target keywords and a more thorough list of supporting keywords, it was time to develop content that would appeal to both website visitors and Google. We decided to write a combination of in-depth skyscraper articles and shorter, more succinct supporting pieces. Brian Dean, an SEO specialist, devised the Skyscraper Technique, which quickly became one of the most successful strategies to enhance organic search ranks. Skyscraper articles are intended to best fulfil readers’ search intent, offer the most thorough response to their inquiry, and so give favourable ranking signals to the Search Engine. Also, don’t forget about the keywords. A straightforward translation of the terms without considering search demand will not get the best results. As a result, keyword research has been conducted for both languages.  • Content updates While new, high-quality material is crucial, we should not underestimate the value of previously published pieces. It is frequently a question of optimising for the proper keywords and adding value with images, videos, or new material to propel current articles higher in Google search results. As a result, some of the effort was on upgrading or combining old content in order to optimise for SEO and enhance organic traffic. Overall, more than 25 different articles were either newly
